Finding Creative Inspiration in Winter: The Artist’s Journey and New Oracle Deck
Finding Creative Inspiration in Winter: Patience, Presence, and New Beginnings
This winter has tested me in more ways than I can count.
We’re nearing six months of it here, and just when it feels like it might finally loosen its grip, it returns with a quiet persistence. The snow has been falling steadily all morning—a reminder, perhaps, of patience… a lesson I’ve never found easy to embrace.
And yet, despite my frustration, there’s something undeniably peaceful about it.
The Quiet Beauty of Winter
From my balcony window, I watch the snow drift and swirl—white flakes moving through the air like a cluster of bees circling an invisible hive.
In moments like this, winter softens.
It becomes less about endurance and more about observation.
Maybe the lesson isn’t to resist it—but to simply be within it.
Learning Presence Through Stillness
What if we lived more like the snow?
Falling without resistance. Existing fully in the moment.
Or like bees in spring—moving from one moment to the next with quiet purpose.
Presence.
No revisiting the past. No worrying about what’s ahead. Just being here, now.
Because in the end, that’s all we really have.
Creativity Returning After a Long Winter
Bits of flowery inspiration
Existential thoughts aside, something has shifted.
Lately, I’ve been feeling deeply inspired again.
Creative energy has returned in a way that feels both exciting and grounding. I’m currently working on a new project and nearing the halfway mark—which feels like a milestone worth celebrating.
And yes, if you guessed an oracle deck… you’d be right.
A New Oracle Deck Rooted in Magic and Self-Discovery
Celestial Garden Artwork by Moonjube
This new deck feels especially close to my heart.
It’s whimsical, heart-centered, and filled with a sense of quiet magic. More than anything, it feels like the most authentic project I’ve ever created.
The artwork is coming together in a way that feels natural (almost effortless) and I have a feeling it’s something you’re going to love.
While I won’t reveal too much just yet, I can share this:
One of the central themes is rediscovering the lost parts of yourself and reconnecting with your inner child—the curious, imaginative, wide-eyed version of you that still exists beneath it all.
Building a Creative Community Through Tarot
Alongside this project, I’ve also been building a new space for connection around Moonjube Tarot.
Creating a dedicated community to celebrate the deck—sharing its meaning, its imagery, and the experiences people have with it—has been incredibly fulfilling.
Seeing others connect with the work in their own way is something I’ll never take for granted.
Moonjube Tarot: Availability and Gratitude
The Publisher’s Edition is now available through Muse Oracle Press, and the deck is currently available for order and pre-order online.
It will also be arriving in bookstores over the coming months. . .which still feels surreal to say.
Seeing something that once lived only in my imagination now existing in the physical world… on shelves, in hands, in homes… it’s something I’m deeply grateful for.
To everyone who has supported this journey so far—thank you.
Looking Ahead: From Winter to Spring
Despite the long winter, the future feels bright.
There’s a quiet sense of alignment—like something is beginning to shift both internally and externally.
Now I’m just waiting for the outer world to catch up with the inner one.
Spring, whenever you’re ready.
Embracing the Seasons of Creativity
Winter, in all its heaviness, has its place.
It asks us to slow down. To reflect. To sit with ourselves in ways we might otherwise avoid.
And sometimes, in that stillness, something new begins to grow.
Something softer. Truer. More aligned.
So for now, I’ll keep creating.
Keep trusting.
Keep showing up.
And let the rest unfold.
